Finding the perfect composition to capture the ‘personality’ of a room is a challenge – and one that I enjoy. I like to tell the story of a room in a picture – emphasizing the size, the ambient light and the warmth of the furnishings to give a ‘feeling of being there’. The trick is to do this in a few, concise, attention-grabbing images. By carefully positioning the camera, photographs can convey a superb sense of depth into a room. The end result should be a welcoming and faithful representation of the space – and the icing on the cake is capturing a stunning view through the window as well!
